Sweet Nothings

nullnullnullnull

Good morning, loves! How is the week treating you so far?

Today marks 1 week before Valentine's Day and I'm already starting to get excited for the day. Every year there's a discussion as to what we want to do for Valentine's Day. Some years we make a big deal of it, reservations, gifts, etc. But other years we keep it very low key. Dinner at home, a nice bottle of wine and something sweet to eat.

This year we've decided to go the latter route. Very low key. Maybe flowers, some pretty lingerie and something sweet to end the night with.

I know not all of you celebrate Valentine's Day but for those of you who do, what do you have planned?

Enjoy the day, sweets!

xoxo

Your low-key Valentine sounds like a great idea Dawn!

Honestly, I always forget about Valentine's Day....isn't that terrible, but now that I'm reminded of it, I might think of something to do .-) with the hubby.

Have a wonderful week sweetie!

First of all these images are gorgeous. David will be out of town on valentine's but when he gets home I like to plan something silly and unexpected to make him happy. I would love to throw a party for all the people I love, but the wedding planning has taken over my life. xo

Beautiful, love! :) We're with you... some years we go all out but then others it's nice to make a sweet night of it at home! :) Y'alls night sounds fabulous, doll! I think we'll do the same but then the following weekend we're slipping away to Charleston. Hope you had a lovely weekend! xoxo

I will be doing something similar, lots of wine, a cheese plate, and snuggling up on the couch! The best way to go.

Lovely images - I love all those gorgeous shades of pink and peak. This Valentines, my lovely husband and I will be on opposite sides of the world from each other... a hug when I get home is the only present I want after not having seen him for a month!

i'll be in school all day until late, so we're celebrating a couple days early with dinner at a favorite restaurant...creme brulee and champagne! ;)

Such a pretty post:) We're the same- some years we go out and others we stay in...mostly depends on if it is mid-week...if so, we tend to cozy up at home:)

Your low key celebration sounds lovely and romantic. We usually like to stay in, order sushi and watch a romantic movie. Avoid the crowds y'know ;)

Gorgeous pics as always Dawn! We've done the low-key thing a couple of years in a row already. This year I made reservations for a sushi place I've been wanting to try. Some nice lingerie will be donned. I'm just hoping for some pretty flowers. And we're going to do a mini staycation on the weekend in L.A. (concert and a suite at a fancy hotel). Yeah, I'm sure Vday will be low key again for the next couple of years.

When I was dating my husband, I did all of these elaborate things each Valentine's Day. The bad thing about that is that if you don't do something that's a surprise, it looks like you're letting up! haha I've bought a few small gifts but haven't decided how to present them yet ;) I've been so busy with custom artwork projects, I have a feeling I'll be procrastinating this year until the last minute! ;) You edit your images in such a beautiful way ... these are lovely! Have a wonderful week, Dawn darling ;) ~xoSM

Your plans sounds so nice! My husband is like the most romantic person on earth but he hates Valentines day so we never celebrate it and to be honest I don't really care.

Loving your photos, orange and pink is such a great combination!

Whichever way you want to celebrate, have a great one.

Ours is usually low key. I'm not sure if we've ever had a major celebration. Hmmm....maybe I should start dropping hints now for next year?!

I'm hosting a bday party for my husband on Saturday night...so we'll keep it mellow next Tuesday. Champagne, chocolates....candlelight!

Hi Dawn,

We are planning a low key evening as well. Avoid the crowds and have dinner at home. Some wine and something chocolately for desert is all I need to make me happy : )

Love your pictures today!

Haha my day is boring! It's swimming, school, and work! Probably some fun treats though. I'm surprising my friend! (Girl--we love Vday even if we're single)

I'll take pretty lingerie and/or flowers over the box of candy .. and always something sparkling to drink. If we don't feel like dealing with the crowds or don't make a reservation ahead of time, being home is fine.

If we start to celebrate Valentine's day in the lingerie like on the first photo, for sure it would be marked forever!:D I don't have any plans, ever, but I might think about something this time, your posts give me so much inspiration!:)

I LOVE love Valentine's Day, and I'm so excited this year! We love to do the same as you - alternate between a low-key very romantic night at home some years, and other getting dressed up and go somewhere special. This year we are going out, but due to schedules we will celebrate on Friday. Sometimes I like that better, because crowds and traffic can make everything a little more difficult. :) Have an amazing day, darling!!!
